Has anyone used the suction cup ammonia alert product? it tells you when you need to worry about the levels in your tank?

Lana.

I have one in my 29g community, and as far as I am aware, it works. I put it in there while cycling, and it immediately went to the darkest colour ("Warning" or whatever it is), and came back down to "safe" around the same time my test kit was reading 0 ammonia. I've not had an ammonia spike in that tank since cycling, though, so I can't say whether it changes properly if the ammonia does spike.

Thanks Kaycie, I got a test pack thing as I couldn't even find one of those things anywhere and I didn't want to travel in searing heat for an hour. It's probably better to do your own test every few day or so, iIguess it's good also to have one as some kind of guide before the fish freak right out. I will still look out for one though.

Lana.
