|
|
Hi,
Here are some photos of my new, and first, tank - 54L, 60cm x 30cm x 30cm
I stocked it on Wednesday with 6 Cardinal Tetras - around 2cms long.
On Saturday I'm picking up 2 baby bristlenose plecos (approx 1.5cm) - assuming they both live, then when they reach around 5cms, I will sell/give away one.
The last addition will probably be 6 Neon Tetras in 2 Wednesday's from now.
I had the air stone running before I put the fish in, but I am trying it without the air stone running at the moment.
In the later photos with the fish, the tank water appears cloudy/dirty-ish because I had a look in the filter to find a missing fish (just before I took photo) - turns out he was in the little cave.
Firstly: Full Tank - Empty
Second: The 6 Cardinals adjusting to their new home
Third: Just cruising along
Fourth: Swimming through the gap
Fifth: Full Tank - with the Cardinals
Sixth: Full Tank - still in their favourite corner of the moment

I hope you don't mean that you are cycling the tank with the neons?
nice tank, I would add in a few more javaferns and maybe a windelov fern in or on one of the stones. but thats because I love ferns
a little anubius or some grasslike plants in the front/middle would also look great
and plants -> very good for fish & natural environment & oxygen creators.
nice start and good luck with the tank! |

- no I need to change my signature. cycled the tank for about a month using a fishless cycle.

thanks for the ideas - I was actually going to ask for what sort of taller, skinny plants there were to place at the front (eg: a stem or sword type plant).
but I am also taking it a little slower with the plants - first tank and all, plus they are harder to find here in new zealand, and more expensive. _________________ 15G: Community around a Bolivian Ram |
