|
|
Hi,
I have a 55 gallon with 6 white clouds minnows and a small female betta right now.
I would really like to add a pearl gourami - male if possible, but female would be great too. I've read that anabantoids shouldn't be placed in the same tank, but given the reputation of pearls to be peaceful, do you think it would be OK? Maybe 2 pearl gouramis and the female betta?
I also would like to move my red cherry shrimps from a 12 gallon into the 55 gallon. What do you think?
Any advice/experience would be appreciated!
Thanks,
Eric |

felames are no nearly as agressive as males so there should'nt be any fighting but watch them for awhile to make sure they are not nippnng, chasing each other extensivly or any or sign of agression. now for the shrimp, it should be OK as long as you do not medicate with products containing copper in them as it will kill off any shrimp and that no fish is to agressive and big enough to eat them.
good luck, stickman _________________ "I am a wildlife warrior, and I will fight, fight to the death for wildlife." - Steve Irwin |

Thanks.
I think if a gourami tries to, it could probably bite my shrimps...I guess I'll just have to give it a try. The shrimps are red cherries, so they're pretty tiny.
