What's the wait time you should wait between fish in your aquarium?

You should wait at least a few weeks.
Once your ammonia and nitrite are at 0 and the nitrate has dropped to a safe level again it is usually alright to add the new fish.
But it also depends on the size of tank, what fish are already in the tank, what fish you are adding, if there are plants, filtration, ect.

check out the articles section of this site for the nitrogen cycle and fishless cycle. another member (dusko) has what he calls a silent cycle - which is talked about on his personal website.
