Rainbow Snails :
http://www.thesnailstore.com/
Also, there are quite a few auctions on aquabid.com
There are often sales on the 'discussions' of applesnail.net under 'snail exchange', and people often talk about who they bought from. Many of these people also post on aquabid. |

| OK thanks for the tip, by the way is it necessary to add calcium to the water for the snails if your pH is above 7.6? My pH right now is at 7.8. |

From what I understand, the high pH is necessary to prevent shell erosion, while the calcium is used to build the shell well in the first place. Also, some say that it is more important to feed calcium-rich foods (or have a cuttle bone the snails can rasp on), as the snail's may not actually absorb the calcium form the water.
The people on applesnail.net are much more experienced than me, and have much information on this, and all other topics concerning apple snails.
Hope that helps. |
