Does anyone know if Lion Fish are legal in Australia, especially NSW?
I have seen one in a display tank once, but do you need a licence or anything?
I am particularly interested in the 'Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish'.

No permit required here in QLD so I'm guessing the same goes for New Sth Confused.

I haven't seen the fuzzy dwarf in any shops here though it'd probably be my choice if I were to get one Wink

As far as I know, if it's not endangered you're allowed to keep it without a permit...

Pretty sure the only thing you can't keep are endangered species, I.e. weedy sea dragons. I don't recall any regulations about keeping other than that although it might be worth checking with the department of fisheries (website?).

OK, thanks a lot.
Also, is there anyone in NSW that has one or knows if you need a permit?
