I would be concerned more about your tank in that case.
If he is still around, try use a small coke bottle (plastic or glass) filled with water, put some algae waffer in it and lay it on the side at the bottom, with the opening just above the gravel.
You will see it within a day or so. Use your finger to close the opening and fish out the bottle.

crap! he survived! 1 problem fishlover888, I don't have any wafers, anything else he might like? I tried cucumber but he didn't like it. I'm just gonna disassemble my tank because I have to do some re planting anyway.

this may be a little extreme, but I removed every big rock and plant and caught the little bugger. however I was in a good mood  and tossed him in with my oscar. thank's for all the suggestions.
