For basic fishkeeping I recomend the API master kit. it includes all the basics, Ammonia, Nitrite, Nitrate and pH. It is easy to read and reasonably accurate.
There are more comprensive and probably better ones on the market, but for the basics, this does the job.
You should be able to pick one up almost anywhere in the world.

I agree. The Aquarium Pharmaceuticals master test kit is also very inexpensive at around $10-16. They are readily available at most local fish stores as well as online. _________________ 55 gallon FOWLR saltwater tank

I agree with the recommendations for API.
If you do spring for the API test kits, consider buying the GH and KH test kits separately as they are not included in the master pack - at least not on this end of the world. Both do come in handy, at least for me.
Remember to shake the test kits well when you use them. I find that whenever I shake the nitrate test kit inadequately, the results go way off. _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |
