The foggy look is probably just due to minute gas bubbles in the water, or it may be a little bit of dust from the gravel. It will clear in time.

The cycle time varies, it can take up to 2 months or as little as a week. In the meantime, start researching the fish you want. What kind of tetras interest you?

I really like the Rummynose Tetra, it has an awesome look, as well as the neon. I also like danios, but do they go well together. Waht fish would you recommend keeping?

Okay, at 5:19 PM today I added a little under a 1/2 a cup of ammonia. I am going to test at 6:20.
