| Any info on hi-fin plecos welcome!!! I bought one and put it in a 32gallon tank with a single male convict. There is a cascade200 on the tank. There are partial water changes every week. Is this tank too small? Thanks for any and all answers. |

| Are they good swimmers? Mine when I got it had ripped up fins and it has trouble swimming. It constantly gets stuck on its back after swimming a distance. His sail-fin is looking bad how fast will it heal? It is missing the majorty of it. |

Most fish, given good water conditions will recover from tatty, torn fins etc.
But you are talking about a fish that should grow to 20 inches, it really should be in a much much larger tank, most plecs are messy fish, who pump out large volumes of Ammonia, so need lots of water changes, when you say partial water changes, what percentage are you talking about per week?

If you feel the need to replace him get a Bristlenose Plec, they only grow to about 5 inches so far more suitable for your tank size.
