I know that when you get new bogwood that hasn't been prewashed you need to soak it in water to get all the tannins out. Do you have to declhorinate the water or is it fine to use tap?

I used plain tap water and it was fine. It will be a pain to dechlorinate your water every time you empty and refill your bucket (or whatever you are soaking in). I changed the water in the AM and in the PM with hot water out of the bathtub. It took about a week or so for the water to be relatively clear.

I didn't use dechlorinated water and my fish were fine, so I don't think it's necessary.

Okay, thanks. I just wanted to make sure before I did something wrong.
