I would like to make a samll 29 gallon biotope centering on bolivian rams. I hate the artificial look of black substrate and I though a light snady substrate (.75mm-1.25mm) would give the tank a river feel and do good for the corys (6 wild caught corydoras dephax).

My question:

I have heard some tetras and dwarf chichilds go to super shy mode in light substrates. Does anyone have any good experience with drwarf chichilds and light substrate?
