Why do americans call it football anyway? Us english people actually use our feet in proper football, and so the name fits.

I don't really know for sure why we call if "football" but it might be because we do kick it a lot, kinda.
Theres kickoff, punts, and field goals. |

| yes, there is kicking involved, but is actually a very small portion of the game. of the roster of what 56 or so poeple only 2 and on rare ocasions 3 of them actually use thier feet on the ball. so why do americans call it football? I have no idea. footy is the real football. |

Aussie Rules is the ONLY football to watch-exciting, fast, skillful. They kick the ball not like in Rugby which I call "cross country keepimgs off"  |
