Yesterday, while treating the marmosets, I noticed something strange in the back of one of them. Looking closely, it was a tiny youngster.
This particular group comprises the "twins" (a male and a female Black-tufted Marmoset) and a male White-tufted. That is the problem: the baby is the result of an incestuous pairing or is a hybrid.
Next week, the white-tufted would be sent to another breeder that has a widow white-tufted female with 3 adolescent youngsters. Now, I am not sure if it is a smart action to mess up with the group
Anyway, two pics of the baby:

| So tiny! Will you be able to determine it's parentage once it's a bit older? And when will you be able to sneak a peek and find out if it's a male or female? |

1 month birthday!
Yesterday, Baby complete 1 month-old. Sometimes, it is left alone in a branch or on the feed table, but if I make the slightest movement, one of the males run and caight him. I could take a pic of it alone yet ;(
Almost all the time he is on the white-tufted uncle (he is a true black-tufted, comprobed by DNA), that is bigger than the father.

Now I can picture the creature Simon was trying to describe the other night on American Idol. _________________ "I'm a vehemently anti-nuclear, paranoid mess, harbouring a strange obsession with radioactive sheep." |
