OK, I went for a little visit and when I looked at the tank I saw these eggs on the side glass!
Any ideas? _________________ Fish keeping is art!!!

Lovely, and a great example of how beautiful aquariums don't have to cost a fortune! It is turning into a real gem, one which will inspire new hobbyists for sure . I will keep an eye on this one .

they kind of look like snail eggs to me. I should pay attention to this since I don't have much of a budget. I'd be lucky to get the tank filter and heater for $50, not to mention the fish plants, food, and everything else. _________________ New to fishkeeping? Click the banner

Gorgeous tank! Great job.
I'm not sure about the eggs...the snails in my tank always lay their eggs on plants, but maybe you have a different kind of snail (although, I haven't seen you mention any snails at all)... Maybe they are fish eggs? Wouldn't that be exciting if you ended up with fry so soon!
In some of the pictures it looks like there is a bit of a green haze in the water, almost like a glow. Is this just a trick of the light? The water looks so clear otherwise, I can't imagine there's an algae bloom going on.
What is the name of the grassy plant you showed in the second to last photo in the first post?
Can't wait to see more pics. : ) _________________ What color is your straitjacket? |

I'm so glad this tank is setting some new "cost" standards to many fellows , as for your Q's Shai:
I think these are snail eggs because I have added some snails last week, as for that green haze it's just the blurred green plants . And the grassy plant was a Brazilian Micro Sword ( http://www.aquahobby.com/garden/e_lilaebras.php ).

That's what I suspected. I've been interested in adding this plant to my own tanks for a while but haven't been able to find any locally. Since the Garden page says the care is hard, I'm definitely interested to see how this plant does in your setup! _________________ What color is your straitjacket? |

There were comments from other people that it might take a couple of tries to get it to flourish. I hope the remainder does! _________________ What color is your straitjacket? |
