Hello fellow aquarists and fish lovers!
A few days ago one of my relatives asked me to build her a small planted aquarium just like mine , I agreed...but she surprised me by telling me that she can't pay lots of money on a fish tank, ah what's new huh?
So I ordered a custom built rimmless tank ( for only 10 bucks!! ) and I got it today. Specs: 60cm tall...I haven't checked the other specs yet, lol
I also got a heater, a small Jebo filter( I wanted a bigger one but she really didn't pay me much ), and a cool lamp. Most of the plants are from my tank ( except for the stem plants-Hygrophila_rosanervig and the grass).
The rocks were collected from a near mountain area.
All in all the whole project costed 30 $ U.S. Costs may rize a bit..Who knows?
and now with the pics :
The rocks
The gravel:
The tank with filter and light:
First rock arrangement:
Plants in!
done..
Notice the Java Moss tighed up with a rock ( I will add some more Moss Rocks later )
It's located in her living room....
I hope you like this journal

Wow! You got some great deals! Add four cherry shrimp and a pair of guppies and you'll have a full tank in no time
I'm looking forward to seeing it grown in a bit, it's going to look great! |

Jassar, it looks good! Your usual talents are coming through.
Nice three rock placement, in a sort of Sanzon iwagumi arrangement similar to the ones Amano likes to do.
It's nice!
But tell me about the rimless tank. Is it more subject to the stresses and strains of water against the glass?
Can it hold up to the pressure?
Deborah

Very nice!
I particularly like the way you have put the plants just under the rock... looks very nice, I might try it! Look forward to the updates.
Is there a cover? Will there be a lot of evaporation? (sorry a bit clueless about 'rimless' tanks).

Amazing! But can you get the plants to survive? Enough light? CO2? |

Good man !!! I love the way you placed the stones.
Can't wait to see the mature set-up in about 3 month.
