But tell me about the rimless tank. Is it more subject to the stresses and strains of water against the glass?
Can it hold up to the pressure?

Thank you deborah for noticing the "almost Amano like" rock arrangement Wink .
About rimless tanks: they are 100% safe and strong ( If the guy who makes them is good enough ), they are more attractive than any other type IMO, and since there isn't any rims or cover, it's much cheaper. The tricky part is fighting against stresses and strains as you have mentioned, just fill it with a bit of water every other day and things will go smoothly Smile

Is there a cover? Will there be a lot of evaporation? (sorry a bit clueless about 'rimless' tanks).

well redmum, there is no cover, but even with a cover I always suffer from a rapid evaporation problem (I live in a hot region )

Amazing! But can you get the plants to survive? Enough light? CO2?

I was just going to say Patricia Black that I am willing to make a DIY yeast bottle for CO2 ( money is an issue! ), and I think I will get another light just like the one you see in the pics Cool . I hope the plants will survive!

Can't wait to see the mature set-up in about 3 month.

How strong are the lights?

Thanks Dusko Smile , I will keep you guys posted. I hope this thread will become a good source for beginners ( though, I'm talentless myself ).
This is a 15W light with a good reflector, but I'm getting another one soon.

Thank you all!
Cheers!
