I was told that the temperature of the tank should be about 26 degrees celcius and for about 2 weeks it was at this temperature but then jus the other day it suddenly dropped to about 23 degrees so I turned my heater up and then it went to 28 degrees so I turned it back down and I can't seem to get it back to 26 what can I do???

Get a heater that works and is easily adjusted.

A couple of things...the heater may be malfunctioning or about to go out or possibly you have another pc. of equipment such as a powerhead heating the water. Try a different heater first.

I had a slight problem with the temprature, my tank is in a small room and the room gets very warm, this also pushed the temp up. If I leave the door open the temp remains quite stable.
