Hey, guess what I saw last night... how'd you guess???
I was helping a wholesaler with a marine shipment and they threw in a blue ringed octopus by mistake. Oops. Good thing the wholesaler saw it before we cut the bag open.
Just for kicks we took turns touching it. I haven't heard back from my Friend yet but I'm doing fi..................................... . _________________ Intelligence is not having all the answers; it's knowing how to think! |

LOL...what a great find and totally inappropriate to have. I confess I would love to have the ultimate hunter in a tank big enough to house one. _________________ Out on the road today...I saw a DeadHead sticker on a Cadillac...

always a good reason not to mix binge drinking and fishkeeping
There was some discussion as to destroy it outright or not but in the end its coolness factor won out. Will someone not live to regret it? I have kids so I would never risk such a species.
Hi Osprey, I've spent many an afternoon boldering at Okotoks rock in my youth
back when I looked like this
I don't look like that anymore though _________________ Intelligence is not having all the answers; it's knowing how to think! |

They've actually had to do restorative work on the rock recently. I think bouldering on it is illegal now... too much damage done by the climbers. All things must come to an end one day. _________________ Am I obsessed? Wait a minute... don't answer that! |

you don't have room for a 20g tank? very nice occies but forget about putting your hands in the tank! you getting bitten and you stop breathing. can't 100% remember but I think if some one does CPR on you continueously you'll be fine.

Andrew...I don't have room for any other tanks at the moment, and I still like to watch them move and hunt but keeping any octo is the ultimate in predator tanks.
Cool mantis video, several of our local reefers have dedicated manits tanks set up, our mascot for our club is a manits. _________________ Out on the road today...I saw a DeadHead sticker on a Cadillac...

Hey no fair, look at the size difference...
Drop that mantis in a tank with a full grown octopus and watch what happens!
Now... the ultimate hunter meets the ultimate PREDATOR:
