okay sorry about last post. But I decided that I am going to go with a 30 gallon fowlr. I want to have 2 real clowns. With 20-30 pounds of live rock. I read they don't need anemone.
heres some questions.
1. do I need a protein skimmer with the fish and liverock?
2. does any invertabrates need to go in tank?
3. is this a good stocking idea?
4. Do they need anemone?
5. Is this a good start into saltwater? |

1. You don't *need* it, but it's a good idea to use one.
2. Yes. You'll want snails, hermit crabs and a shrimp or two.
3. Yup.
4. No. Anenomes are tricky, require a lot of lighting, and an established tank.
5. It sounds good. Clowns are supposed to be hardy and a 30 gallon w/ live rock should be fine for them. |

I wouldn't waste the money one of those, for the same money you can get a much larger tank that doesn't have a reputation for being cheaply made.
Use that money towards a better tank, and for 170 bucks you can get a 40 or 50 gallon tank with stand and light that will be larger, better made and perfectly fine for a FOWLR tank. _________________ Out on the road today...I saw a DeadHead sticker on a Cadillac...

| I think you'd find it more beneficial to figure those things out yourself. You don't learn anything by having us tell you what to do. |
