It sounds like an acrylic bow-front tank to me. They are made to be bowed like that.
Acrylic and glass are pretty easy to tell apart. Acrylic is like plastic, and glass is like... glass. _________________

well what dimentions are it? dose it have square or rounded corners? generally acrylic tanks have rounded corners. if it is glass does teh tank have any bracing? bits of glass that link the back to the front?

My old 75 acrylic bowed a lot in the middle from the water pressure. One of my glass 29's bows from water pressure. It is normal and shouldn't be a cause for alarm. _________________ Out on the road today...I saw a DeadHead sticker on a Cadillac...

1/8" of an inch isn't much at all, most tanks will bow a small amount when filled. the center brace on my 65g stretches when I fill it, it is built to accomodate a slight bowing of the tank when full. _________________ 65g Future Anemone Home |
