Well duh, if you can't read and answer a simple question. I was just wondering how they work. In other words for those people who have no common sense: Whats the difference between FO and FOWLR? Do you need any other equipment (such as a HOB) filter?

Well Duh right back at ya', there are stickies at the top of this forum for people who do not understand the difference. You will note that it is plainly labeled Fish Only or Reef Tanks. The person who contributed that did so to help people decide what kind of tank they wanted and to understand the difference. I encourage you to actually read a little and don't just hop in for a quick answer to a question that is far from simple.
