Help!!!

I've been cycling a tank for a Fancy Goldfish and today I bought the fish, he's now swimming round looking happy and I've just realised that I haven't bought any food for him.

I have plenty of Tropical fish food Tetra min flakes & Tetra Guppy & Betta flakes, also some Tetra Mini Granules. Will these do for the next week until I can buy some Goldfish Food.

since it is a fancy goldfish I would feed the granules because they sink. You don't want the fish feeding from the surface because it will gulp air and with a shorter/ cramped digestive tract that could lead to bloat or swim bladder problems

Even if you didn't feed him at all in the week, he would still be OK.

Lily ,

Some considerations for goldfish food are there is a few products from the Tetra line (pellet , colour enhancing , dried , flake) , Hikari also has similar products but a down side to this is these products cost a bit more ,but include high quality ingredients , NutraFin by Hagen also is another consideration. You could also venture into using human food (vegetables, some meat).Make sure they are carefully portioned , kept frozen , and given in rotation with other food.
