I taught my old Amano shrimp to go in my hand. That was fun. But he bit me once because he thought a scab was a piece of flake. Laughing

It stung a little bit, seeing that it was already a cut and he re-opened it. But nothing too bad, it's not like an oscar bitting you. I just would put a flake on my hand and he would go to it, and eat it on my hand. When he was done he'd just sit there looking up at me and I could take him out of the water for a few seconds, but they don't like it much. He hasn't really crawled up my arm, but one time he was all ticklish and I jumped and he ran up my arm and fell off. Confused

how do u know if they are "biting" the algae, all I see him doing is waving his mouth (fanning with his mouth), and feeling the rock/wood/plants/gravel ect..

I don't usually pay close attention to him, I usually just dropped a algae wafer in and if you looked closely you could see little 'claw' type things pick up pieces of it and put it in it's mouth. With the flakes, he would do the same but most of the time he'd have to break it up because it would be too big for his tiny mouth.

Hahah the things you need to be afraid of are huge cichlids and poisonous saltwater fish. :O

Actually, my friend got bit by a glass shrimp...

Don't know how, and why, but he said it hurt.

Wussy. Laughing
