Hey guys Very Happy

I was thinking one day whether marimos (Japanese moss ball) can be dried and kept in some sort of "dormant" state, and carry on growing when rehydrated. Sounds like a stupid question Laughing but hey they are algae nevertheless...I do know that many algae can tolerate very harsh conditions and carry on living once the environment is ideal. I know that heat would damage the cell walls and stuff so I was thinking about cool drying methods, like by wind or something. Do you guys think it would work somehow?

Sorry if it sounds stupid, and thanks for any answers/ideas Very Happy
