I have a split seam (About 4") on my 25G Sad , do I need to take apart the entire plate or can I just run a bead of caulking on the inside?

Thanks for any help

It would be a good idea to strip that entire seam of silicone and redo it. The silicone patching may not bond as well to dried silicone as it would to regular glass. Simply strip the existing seam with a razor and run some aquarium safe silicon over the corner. Let it cure for a day or two and then fill the tank back up again.

Byez!

P.S. Make sure the silicone you use is approved for aquarium use or is made by an aquarium provider (like All-Glass). If you use regular window caulking or tub caulking there could be chemicals in it that kill fish. If there is any sort of "mildew and mold preventative" in the caulk, it's not aquarium safe.
