Not any specific ideas . . . I just finished welding a stand for a 250L, though. I just cut a frame out of square steel tubing, and welded legs to it.
You could probably do something with wood if you're not up for the welding. As for me, I absolutely STINK at woodworking, so I'm sticking with fire and metal. |

| Kewl so I am not the only one!!! I have a 20g I want to make a stand for because I want it only about 2foot tall, and no one makes them like that. I did find a website that had plans for DIY stands, but I can't find where I went!!! It also had the estimated cost of materials, and it was almost more expensive than a store bought one!!! But this is going to be for my 5 year old Christmas, so I had better get busy huh!!! |

| I love wood working too. I don't know much, just by what I have done on my own. Had one of the magazines, it had a "display decoration" that was a bass fish chasing a smaller fish, with a background of reeds or some type of grass, I saw the magazine in store and thought "I want to make that!!!!" , because our living room is lodge style. Get it home and read through it adn holy cow I didn't understand a word they were saying, not to mention I don't have ANY of the tools they were needing. But it almost looked like a puzzle, different types of wood to have a the different color affect, plus stain too. It was really intricate. The magazine now in store I think has the same kind of project but it is an eagle I htink?? I would like to be able to at least buy something like that. But anyways the stand, we paneled our living room in wainscoting and I want to make the stand to match, it would really blend in. |

I live in Mustang, just to the west of OKC. If you get a chance, come out to one of our meets. Lots of fish talk, great deals on the auctions and lots of unusual fish being exchanged. We have members that come from as far away as Tulsa for the monthly meet.
I-35 is a mess. Luckily my daily drive is I-40 and they're done working on that one for now. _________________ Oklahoma City Aquarium Association
