I checked homedepot for the converter earlier...but they couldn't help me...I will try again when I get the valve so I can actually see what I'm working with.
I just want to make sure you know I appreciate your help you have given to me. Thanks
You are in Hawaii, everything cost more on the islands! Here is Oregon a 10 pound C02 cylinder costs about $80. How much are you paying for a regulator? Or did you already buy it? The Milwaukee regulator comes with a needle valve, bubble counter and solenoid. $74.
But anyway... the needle valve your ordered from me should work just fine.
I would put a check valve on the line as well. I have brass check valves too. _________________ Robert Hudson

Teflon tape on the cylinder - regulator join is not needed. And it can cause problems if pieces of the Teflon tape get into the regulator.
Also pieces of Teflon tape can clog a needle valve. I always prefer to use non-hardening pipe dope on my gas connections. _________________ Link to my Guide www.rexgrigg.com
hehe new people join the conversation...thanks for your help robert with the purchase...but you and rex said 2 different stuff...you said you think your needle valve comes with a 3/8" to 1/8" adapter, but rex said your needle valve comes with a 1/8" to 10-32mm? adapter.
So right now I don't know what to buy...I have a 3/8" to 1/4" adapter. And I still don't know what pipe dope is...=P.
The needle valve from Robert according to his web site has a 1/8" adapter. So you will also need a 1/4" to 1/8" adapter.
Pipe dope is pipe dope. Ask at the hardware store. It lubricates and seals the threads on the metal to metal connection.
One more time.
The needle valve has a 10-32 micro thread on it. Since regulators don't come with this size fitting you need adapters. Robert supplies the needle valve with an adapter to 1/8". _________________ Link to my Guide www.rexgrigg.com
