| How about "revealed", where fish that are normally hidden and shy are caught out and about? |

How about a "my first tank" competition for hobbyists who have been at it less than a year? Kind of a way to show how even new fishkeepers can deploy a good, healthy tank if they do their research appropriately? _________________ Maura

I know its not mine originally but really I strongly suggest that this year's photo contest be something like "Fish in stores" or something wiht a very realted topic, and people have to go to their LFS and take some pictures of the best looking specimen they can find, but freshwater and marine species would have to be seperated. This would be a good idea.and fun too, because you can get really nice looking fish! even if you don't have them! _________________ Get attached, love everything now, then, suffer when it comes to an end, for it will bring great meaning to one's existence. | What about pictures of fish interacting with things outside of their tank? Things like pets, people, etc. I know my fish always come right to the front of the tank when anyone walks by. My gold barbs even check out my cats when they come to investigate them. |

I would recommend Planted Tank competition which could encourage aquarists with fake plants to go more LIVE (plants ). The way you should display your tank is:
1. Front of the tank - the whole tank photo
2. 45% side shot, so you can see the front and the side of the planted tank
3. A tank detail photo with fish and plants in it
4. The tank details like size, gallons/liters, heater, filter, name the plants you are keeping, name the fish/invertebrates you are keeping, your substrate, fertiliser, CO2/or no CO2, decoration, water change how much and how often, pH and temperature.
Lets go LIVE _________________
