schooling probably one of the hardest things to photograph well as focus can really be difficult w/ a school of fish... _________________ 65g Future Anemone Home |

how about a fun with photoshop contest. we could take our pic and modify them in photoshop to make them funny or whatever.
an example would be to put a clown hat and red nose on a clown fish -
or combat boots and an army guy on a venustus. _________________ I have a degree in Liberal Arts

I suggest a photo contest of fish that are aggressive displaying each other and as well anytype of agression like fighting. These 'fights' are very impressive moments and are difficult to take pictures of due to the rapid movement. 'Fish in action!' is what I would call it. When species fight or display, they show how well they are maintained and this is when their best coloration comes in and the show their gills .the best maintaned fish will hae the best display show . Fish in action will display fish fighting like tiger barbs having a rumble.anyways its just a suggestion ( no hard feelings to fish) _________________ Get attached, love everything now, then, suffer when it comes to an end, for it will bring great meaning to one's existence. | Betta Tanks - How about showing examples beyond tiny glass bowls? It could be a great way to educate people about responsible fish keeping by showing them the possibilities. Bettas seem to be "gateway" fish. I don't know how many times I've seen little kids clutching a betta in a plastic bag with one hand and a microscopic bowl with the other. |

I think it'd be cool to have shots of fish facing the camera. It's a tough picture to get, since fish won't always stare straight at you for very long (especially if you want a pic of them). Plus, looking at a fish head on makes them look funny.
