hello eveyone. I'm very new to the fish world. I inherited a 5.5 us gal tank a year and a half ago and got me a blue crayfish her name was Cuddles (rip). I then got a new crayfish and got him some feeder minnows who were to quick for him and decided to breed, so I have a little comunity and Snuggles the crayfish is the sherrif. I recently purchased a 10 us gal tank and a filter (I recently found out it's a crappy filter) an other blue crayfish and a couple of fish that the employees at Big Al's Aquaruim said would not become lunch to the crayfish, 3 green tiger barbs and 3 arulius barbs. suffice it to say I have 1 arulius barb left, so I got him a juvi oscar (2") they're getting a bigger home very soon I know Nigel needs a 50 gal.

this is the crew (so far): Juilus the Arulius (arulius barb), Nigel the Grouch (Oscar), Snuggles and Fluffy (because they're not) the crayfish, and The MWA (minnows with attitude).

I wanted to say that barbs usually need groups of at least 4 to do well. A ten gallon is way to small for those fish. The Oscar will grow very fast and once it is fully grown will need at least a 75 gallon tank. I would suggest taking the oscar back to the store and getting something else.
