I liked all of them, but the 2nd and 3rd were messed up which made me kinda mad. Shelob (the spider) was in the 2nd book, not the 3rd, and the battle of Helm's Deep was not that big. The whole battle took up maybe a chapter, whereas the movie version would've taken up 5. Also, in the 3rd movie, the ghost army didn't wipe out the whole Orc army at Gondor, it just destroyed the corsair ships and killed them off.
Sorry, but I really got into the whole LOTR thing. I confess; I am a dork... _________________ Duncan, ? 1992-July 13 2005.

I have read all the books and even though the movie misses a little I still
must say all the trilogy was excelent. You've also got to remember that a lot of people would have never heard that story if it were not for the release of the movies. |

I liked all the flims, but I found that in some ways the third one was a bit of an anti climax to it all. I like the second one best. However I have also seen the cartoon version from years ago, and that one ended at the battle of helms deep, on a sort of cliffhanger to make you wonder what would happen. Nothing beats reading the book though... As long as you can find the time. |

You'll need a lot of it to read that book.
I thought ROTK was the best movie but I liked all of them. A lot of things were changed for the movie. Do any of you have the extended edition of ROTK? I do and it's great. Gimli and Legolas have a drinking contest. _________________ Pro wrestling fan!

I have to give my vote to the fellowship of the rings... I had read all the books by the time I watched the first film and if the first film hadn't done such a good job, I would never have watched the towers or the return... Jackson did a marvelous job of realizing the world tolkien created. IMO, they're all great films, but the first one gets my vote! _________________ 65g Future Anemone Home |
