Seems like a dumb question, doesn't it? I just got a new Eheim classic 250 from a major Canadian online supplier but it arrived with water in the motor housing (and a missing impeller part, but that's another story).

I'm wondering if others have gotten new Eheim filters that arrived wet?

Got an answer from Eheim customer service about this:

Thank you for your e-mail. All EHEIM filters should be dry when received. If your unit had any water marks or condensation, this will indicate that the unit was used in the past.

I'm surprised since Big Al's seems like a reputable operation.
