Hi all - Just re-set up my 30G after moving. pH is at 7.6 (well water), temp at 78 and just cycled through - so very clean as far as nitrates. I do 20% water changes every week or two. I currently have 2 Platies and 2 Mollies in it. I would like to have 1 larger/centerpiece fish in it (nothing huge obviously since it's only a 30G). Any recommendations? My LFS mentioned a smaller african cichlid, but I don't want anything aggressive, so I feel like that cuts my options down significantly.
Also thinking about 5 or so tiger barbs.
Thanks!

Definitely NO Tiger Barbs - that tank is way too small for them.

A possible centerpiece fish would be a Dwarf Gourami.

No don't put mollies with any gourami.

Kribs would work nice for a centerpiece fish.

IMO the best centrepiece would be a pair of thicklipped gouramis - these are slightly bigger and much hardier than dwarfs, not quite as colourful but both sexes are coloured.
Cherry barbs, checker barbs or pentazona barbs - a group of 5 or six - would fill out the bottom of the tank.

A single krib may be OK - a pair could become killers.
