Hi,

I notice that my black molly is all excited and running around occupying all corners of the tank. She is certainly pregnant as I can see the size of her belly. This is the behaviour she generally exhibits when its baby time. Is it possible for a molly to deliver in an 18 day interval? Her last delivery was on October 1st.

I keep a note of all the dates when my livebearers deliver babies. So far I've noted atleast a 28 day gap between 2 deliveries. Did she hold back a few young last time or something? Do live bearers do that?

There is no problem with the water parameters all the fish are extremely healthy. Its a 120 litre all livebearer/danios tank in which I do a 20% water change on every 3rd day and 50% every 7th day. Temperature at 26 degrees C.

Let me know your thoughts.

Prakash
