the gourami's have been in the tank for nearly a year now.I have a fluval 405 external filter,it does have a large litre per hour flow rate,but they seem to be fine with it.had no problems so far from them,although at feeding time they do tend to stay at the opposite end of the tank to the outflow.
they do occupy all areas of the tank and have no problems with the flow.in fact one of the Opaline's are watching me right now and it's at the end with the outflow..
I'm not to sure if they prefer stiller waters,but they are healthy and very greedy
