Have anybody done this?

It's my first time doing it, and coming back from a couple of years break from fish keeping.

I wanted to try this homemade mixture out, as it says to yield great plant growth as well as help minimizing algae growth. And just something new, and I also like to make things from scratch =).

I just wanted to post this here for any input, tips, or feedback from your experiences. Also I hope this will serve as a discussion for all of us who wants to try this out as well.

I was going to do MTS, but decided it is easier to just go buy 2 bags of Miracle grow Organic. Less time.

How did that turn out for you? Because the while point of doing mts is to get rid of as much organic aug as possible no?

This method will work, just don't count on it to feed your plants forever, it will run out, so will have to start dosing at some time down the road.
Another point on what clay to use is research before you dump it in your tank. What we want from the clay is the iron, what we don't want is any silicates, or other chemicals leaking into the water column.
