hi I keep garra ruffa and I'm really concerned at the moment my babies seem fine in them selves but have black spot I have treated twice with a treatment given by my usual aquatc supplier and it dosnt seemed to have moved does any body have any suggestions please

What do you means by "black spot" please?

What are their water parameters and how are they housed?

they have black circles on them either on tail or body they are in a large tank and are normally very happy they don't seem too upset acting normal

What size tank and what filtration? what treatment did you use?
Black patches are usually a sign of ammonia burn.

the treatment was called aquaflavin I think the tank is 140 gallons the filtration is an ehiem prof 3 and the water levels are all spot on nitrates etc.... the black spots are rounded slightly raised??????

I havea pic but dontno how to upload real/ ly worried now although fish seem fine fins up active not irrational any ideas

garra ruffa have a black spot on tail took fish to vet and she wanted to charge me 279 to remove that not the black spot on his back!!!!
