I bought a 6.6 gallon tank to make a shrimp tank. I got it set up and cycled and got a little bit on algae on the acryllic so I got an old gift card and came from the bottom of the tank to the top. Well, I have sand in my aquarium and some got on the card and scratched it bad. It is very noticeable and I was wondering if there is any way to make them less noticeable or even make them go away?

The acrylic manufacturers claim that you can use a solvent to remove scratches. I have not seen good reviews from acrylic owners online. Do you have a plastics store nearby you could ask?
