I have an 8 gallon biocube that will be vacant soon. I was thinking of going with some dwarf gourami in there. I have two honey gourami in my larger tank and they do great togethe; I think they are male and female because the female is looking like she is egg bound. But I wanted something different in the 8 gallon.

What would you suggest? I want to make sure whatever I get and how many that they don't fight. I was looking at the Dwarf Flame gourami - very pretty! Someone else mentioned a dwarf pearl (if there is such a thing). I can't seem to find in my research how temperaments would be if just 2 males are together or 2 females.

8 gallons is not enough for dwarf gouramis which get bigger than your honeys.
They are more territorial too so one male may be will work in a tank under 3 feet long anyway.
females are silver.
Sparkling gouramis would be OK as a trio.

I would just get one. In small tanks they get aggressive with one another.
