Hey all, first time poster long time lurker
Just got a new tank about 2 weeks ago, setting it up getting ready for fish soon
Here are some pics of it
Give me your opinion on whether it looks good or not
Also, I'm needing the plant ID, I'm stumped as to what it is. I'm currently in Australia if that helps with IDing it
sorry for the bad quality pics =[ |

| Sure looks like Amazon sword to me. Nice plants, but they can get very big. From what I can tell, your tank looks nice. Just a tiny picky tip - try sticking the base of the rocks down in the substrate a tiny bit (or rake some substrate to cover kind of cover the bases. Just and aquascaping idea because of aesthetics. If you stand back and take a full-tank photo, someone may be able to give you some other aquascaping / layout suggestions. Good work. Cheers. |

Thanks man, I had a feeling but wasn't 100% sure.
Does anyone know if I'm able to have them just stay in the small rocks? or will I have to get some substrate?
At first they seemed to turn brown over the initial week, but once applying some liquid fert. and some tablets, they brought back their beautiful green color. So I'm guessing that was just an adjusting period?
EDIT:
Also, any fish that shouldn't be around this plant? |
