I would go with one decent sized group of either the tinfoil barbs or the sharks (personally the sharks, but that's up to you), rather than two smaller groups of both. It will look better in the end and the fish will be much less stressed (the sharks should really be kept in a group not a pair).

Both tinfoils and Bala sharks are shoaling soecies so six of each would be better or just stick with one type and have ten.

This tank is large enough for Barbonymus schwanenfeldii which is the larger species of tinfoil with dramatic black fin edging so no need for the Balas Smile

The Oscars should be OK as long as plans are in place if any need to be taken out.

Wow that's over 3000 gallons. I would love to see that when it's done. All I can say is that Oscars will try to eat anything they can fit in their mouths and sometimes things that can't, so be careful the size of the fish you put in with the Oscars.

4 jewel cichlids
2 bristlenose plecos
6 tinfoil barbs

Sounds good then. Agreed with Huntress - have you got any photos of the tank? Must be an impressive feature. Would especially love to see photos once the fish start going in Smile

I'll try to get some pictures but probably I won't have the time. I have my exams coming next week. Anyways, thanks everyone for your help.
