Got a Green Terror today, young approximately 1" to 1 1/2". Could anyone advise on the growth rate of the GT? Is sexing of the GT at this age possible, I do notice a red fringe around the tail and dorsal. These colors seem to be a mark of the male once mature.

Growth rate, if the fish has had a good start from good parents could be over an inch a month up to about 4" TL then down to 1/2" per month if all conditions are optimal.

What is it in with?

It is in my 125 assorted tank. Well it took very well to the surroundings, with it's current size, it probably has more space and hiding places it could imagine. It is not hiding that much, it has worked it way into the population well. Very assertive and aggressive. Shows its colors as it picks aggressive states vs those times when it needs to dive. The compatable temperment would be Jack, Oscar, Convicts. There are others, many others and reproduction is aggressive. One of the reasons for it, to assist in population control.
