Hi all, I have been using a process to protect and waterproof plywood with perfect results every time.The process is a spray-on seemless polyurea coating, the application of this membrane will have to done through specialised processing equipment,this is the only catch.

Is it cost effective compared to Marine epoxy paint?

When one looks at the time and advantages the spray elastomer coating has over marine epoxies, yes it is cost effective. Preperation to the plywood is easier, I use a two part primer which is suited for tanking and also required for the elastomer coating. Boath the primer and the elastomer along with a bond-break seal at the joins takes roughly two to three hours. The tank is ready for setup with in two hours.Big advantage the coating is elastomeric and will not scratch, chip or break down,its there for ever.Its also used on concrete ,bessa block and even weather-proof board.
