Zebra Nerite eggs

I was looking at my tank today and noticed tons of white dots on my pieces of driftwood and realized my zebra nerites were laying eggs and I did some research and learned they need saltwater to hatch but I was just wondering if they will always do this and long will the eggs stay?

Actually they need Brackish, and yes they will always do this.
