Figure 8 puffer aggressive

I bought a figure 8 puffer fish last week, in its first week it has killed and eaten 4 of our fish!! Ideally we would like to keep him but not if this is going to continue, do you know if this is just because its all new to him or will he always be aggressive to the others?

He sounds perfectly normal as figure eight puffers are one for species only tanks.

so does that mean he will carry on killing the others? I can't keep it with other fish? at the minute I have tiger barbs, black sharka, gouramis

again.. basically a one species tank type of fish. not a great move to keep it with other fish, it is not a communty fish. it will kill others.

I would imagine he's going to continue wreaking havoc in the tank. I'd either set him up in his own tank or return him to the store.
