Okay, so my brother and I had a conversation about what would happen you let a ball of water (like just a big floating ball of water) and put a fish in it. Would the fish stay in the water? Would it float? Would it go out of the water? Just random questions that we came up with. _________________

The question is how are you maintaining this floating sphere of water?
Assuming that we had the technology to maintain a perfect sphere of water with no other boundaries, the fish would likely swim in the bubble of water, and they would not be able to "swim" out of the bubble, as they would be breaking the water/air interface.
Unless, of course, they "jumped" out of the bubble (likened to jumping out of the top of your aquarium). _________________ Anthony |

No, just what would happen to the fish. Would the fish feel lighter if there was no gravity? _________________

I don't see why they would not feel gravity. They are still on Earth. _________________ Anthony |

I get the feeling they'd swim away from people looking at them and probably fall out of the side of the ball.
If it was in space, I wonder whether said fish would be able to regulate depth though - the swim bladder relies on air/buoyancy which then relies on gravity... _________________ Fishing in the Rivers of Light |

Without gravity their buoyancy would be neutral - there's no water pressure without gravity. So they'd be able to swim in any direction they want. In a vacuum, though, any force they applied could not exceed the surface tension of the water or it would start to break apart. _________________ Nova's Razor: The stupidest explanation is probably the correct one. |
