condylacti anemone withdrawing at night into a ball deflating tenticles is this normal

That behavior in itself is not abnormal, unless it becomes habitual and goes into decline; at that point it will start doing this all the time (which they often do when they are bleaching and expelling the precious zooxanthellae algae).

The Condylactis Anemone is a common target for beginners
