Pity they never tried injecting/feeding guppies with E-64 to mimic an in vivo infection, only pretreated parasites with the drug before infecting the guppies.

Looks like niclosamide is the one to run with though!

umm do you think fish have like anitbobies? xD Like suppose they could develop something like a vaccine for fish diseases Laughing

Fish do indeed have antibodies. However, trying to make a vaccine would not be profitable for the drug industry (and they are all about making money).

Pretty much, can you see anyone paying $20 a vaccine shot? For one disease out of x many...not happening.

Theres a link to a vaccine study on that page though that looks like it works:

Freunds is pretty nasty stuff and a b!@#$ to inject - like glue and doesn't like going through needles. Probably why they recommend it as a starting point rather than an actual vaccine...
