I'm not trying to fight. I'm just trying to make an example. See. This person come to AH for the saltwater forums. So, he most likely hasn't seen the sticky in the Freshwater Basics. I'm sorry if you found me giving a few examples offending. I, just my opinion, didn't think it would be offending. Now, if I gave out specifics like name and fourm, then yes. I myself would think that was offending. I just didn't find what I wrote offending. Sorry again if it offended you.

I guess since I'm just sooo bad and offending then I'll just leave AH. I love this place. People help you out sooo much. But I would rather not be on a place where people ridicule you for having an idea/opinion. Just because one person finds something offending, doesn't mean that others will. I guess since quite a few people seem to not appreciate me at least sharing my ideas then I'll just leave. This is my absolute LAST post. Thanks for showing me that I need to leave Ariaana. I was just trying to help.

I did not say you needed to leave or quit. I just said that I thought it was wrong that you posted specific examples, and pointed out that there is already a sticky, and if it is really that important, you could just link the sticky yourself and ask that they read it. I told you I wasn't watching this thread anymore, and that meant I just stopped looking at it. There was no purpose, as I had said my piece.

For your sake (and the sake of others you may help in future) I ask you not leave, but just consider the other participants of the board when you post, specifically, when you make a post about them. I like this board for the lack of drama, and I'm sorry I created any by responding to this thread.

I've all ready told you about four times that I was sorry. I didn't think they were offensive. I didn't find them offensive. Apperantly you don't appreciate that I just thought it would be a good IDEA to sticky the article in a few other places. I only used these as examples to back me up. They weren't meant to ridicule. It's too late Ariaana. I've made up my mind. You found my examples offending. I've found your responses offending. I'm leaving.

Forum netiquette dictates that what is said in private messagin should stay in private messaging unless there is a serious reason for bringing it public.

Aquablue, if you feel you must state what you did publicly, send me a PM and I will replace it. I will not be overly impressed mind you.

I am incredibly unimpressed by this entire thread. I cannot believe the tone or judgemental attitudes present.
An adult pair of Discus in a 29g is not an impossibility, not even a bad idea for an experienced aquarist.

Some folks may be telling the absolute truth when they say a larger tank is coming.

Even the shark in a small tank, though objectionable, is not outright cruelty.
Properly cared for, fish of all kinds will outgrow a tank and can be moved by someone serious about the pet before it starts to suffer.

You cannot predict the future for someone.

I am the first to warn people that they are making unwise choices, (I CO2-authored the sticky), but I never feel a need to yell at fellow fish hobbyists or pound them over the head with my opinion. Stickies are also meant as a tool for posters and moderators to refer folks to something to read instead of repeating the same thing many many times in multiple responses.

As for the posts mentioned in here...
Aquablue, but have you ever kept a shark, Discus, or any of these other fish you know so much about? If not, you owe folks some apologies.
If you have, why did I see no mention of your personal experiences?

When I think of all the fish I have accidentaly killed... wow... all I can say is before I throw stones, I better get out of my glass house!

Shame on anyone who thinks that they are better than those still making the mistakes of our own pasts...

I have 2 discus in a 29 gallon people said to take them back or get a bigger tank. I couldnt get a bigger tank so I was gona take them back a week later I got offered a free 55 gallon aquarium!!!! I guess I have good luck
